Reading

I started reading Paula Hawkins’ The Girl on The Train and the first couple of pages blew me away. I’ve had this book for a really long time and just had the opportunity to read through its pages recently. It’s a thrilling reading experience! I will be writing an in-depth review once I finished reading it. There’s also a film adaptation in the works, which will be in theaters October this year. Exciting!

My subscription for a Sunday edition of The New York Times started today.

Writing

Two weeks ago, I bought 1 Page At A Time by Adam J. Kurtz and I just started working on a page yesterday. I love how broad the topics are, I can’t wait to explore about my level of creativity and learning more about myself. Also, let’s see if I can really draw.

Needing

To go back to the gym!

Smelling

I’m obsessed with anything that has a pomegranate scent. I rambled through the shelves of Target and Walmart just recently for linen sprays and gel scents.

Listening

The repeat button of my phone is abused with “Nautilus” by L’anarchiste. I first heard the song from MTV’s Awkward.

Thinking

Of the current situation that I have with this guy that I’m seeing. We’re not really defining something (yet), but I’m happy whenever I’m with him.

Watching

I started watching Shameless, the US version, which looks into the dysfunctional Gallagher family. Frank, the alcoholic father, spends the day drinking while his children learn to survive the day on their own. I instantly fell in love with the characters, especially Fiona, Lip, Ian, and Vanessa. Emmy Rossum is the best! I’m already on the 5th episode of season one.

Standing: Jeremy Allen White as Phillip “Lip” Gallagher; Cameron Monaghan as Ian Gallagher; and Steve Howey as Kevin Ball Seated: Emmy Rossum as Fiona Gallagher, Liam Gallagher; Ethan Cutkosky as Carl Gallagher; William H. Macy as Frank Gallagher; Emma Kenney as Debbie Gallagher; and Shanola Hampton as Veronica “V” Fisher

Shameless is an adaptation of the UK television series. The seventh season will premiere this Fall on Showtime. If you wanna catch up on this series, the first four season are on Netflix.

Wishing

That Fall comes sooner. The scorching heat of the summer is killing me! I’m forever grateful for the inventor of air conditioners.

Loving

how technology connects you to family and friends from thousand of miles away. I’m hoping to have more time to talk to them. I really miss them a lot!

Wanting

To see Netflix’s Chelsea live again. If it’s available to stream in your country, watch it! It’s a non-traditional late night talk show that is hosted by the talented Chelsea Handler.

Craving

for burgers! I’ll invite my cousins to go to Umami Burger or Shake Shack this coming week.

Feeling

flustered. I don’t know why.

Clicking

I’ve always been fascinated with the business structure of BuzzFeed. Here’s an article of how Jonah Peretti built “a digital media powerhouse read by 79 million people every month“.

It was announced at the International AIDS Conference that there’s an ongoing trial for an HIV vaccine in South Africa. It is said in the article that “36.9 million people are currently living with HIV worldwide.” A medical breakthrough if proven successful! (Please get tested for HIV!)

Online influencers have become the new “stylists” and showed the world that they are the new “squad goals”. Does a million of followers on their social media accounts their greatest asset or the influence they have on their followers. What is it that matters most? Influence or numbers!

See you next Sunday!

Carolina Roses (Rosa carolina)Carolina Roses (R. carolina)Strolling around the parks in San Francisco, I can’t help myself taking photos of various flowers that bloom beautifully under the basking sun and breezy weather. I’m really fascinated with nature, period. The lovely scene curated and nurtured by the Earth. Also, as they say, it’s relaxing! I don’t have […]
